Organisations that have already confirmed their support for the 2017 IceFish exhibition include those who have provided invaluable support in previous years, including the Ministry of Industry and Innovation and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, both of which are directly concerned with Iceland's fisheries.

Recent re-confirmations include the National Association of Small Boat Owners, the organisation that has energetically championed the rights and interests of the predominantly inshore sector of coastal fishing vessels, and the Iceland Ocean Cluster, a grouping of companies based in a converted former net loft on the Reykjavík quayside. An initiative set up by Thór Sigfússon, the Ocean Cluster, has grown dramatically from its modest beginnings only five years ago to include many leading Icelandic technology leaders rubbing shoulders in the same dockside complex.

Industry organisations include the unions representing ships' officers, crews and engineers, as well as Fisheries Iceland, who represent vessel operators and the processing industry ashore. Fisheries Iceland was established in October 2014, bringing together the Federation of Icelandic Fishing Vessel Owners and the Federation of Icelandic Fish Processing Plants in a single entity, as well as incorporating some of the activities of the Icelandic Aquaculture Association, the Icelandic Association of Fish Meal Manufacturers and the Fisheries Technology Forum. While these organisations have been supporters of IceFish in previous years, the 2017 event is the first that Fisheries Iceland is present at as a sponsor in its new guise as a grouping of associations.

Also represented among the IceFish sponsors are the Federation of Iceland Industries, Iceland Responsible Fisheries, the Icelandic Federation of Trade, the Federation of Trade and Services and Promote Iceland, as well as longstanding IceFish media partner Fiskifréttir, Iceland's fishing industry trade publication that has appeared since 1983.
