The Danish Export Association's Fish Tech Group has had an increasingly visible and energetic presence at IceFish going back many years and 2017 will be no exception as a substantial group of Danish companies with expertise ranging from refrigeration to engines to fishing gear are expected to take part in the Danish pavilion.

“Participation in the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition is considered an ideal platform, offering Danish suppliers the opportunity to showcase their products, solutions and know-how and meet new business contacts and relevant decision-makers,” said Martin Winkel who heads the Danish Fish Tech Group, commenting that IceFish is a vital platform for Danish skills and products across the fishing industry's catching and processing sectors, and the Danish presence at next year's event is sure to be a prominent one.

The Danish pavilion is expected to be more extensive than in previous years, due to the increased interest among Danish companies in participating in the 2017 IceFish exhibition.
“The Danish Fish Tech Group will again organise a Danish pavilion at the IceFish exhibition in 2017 to support more Danish companies in exploiting the potential and opportunities that exist in the fisheries industry in Icelandic and North Atlantic region,” he said.

“By joining the Pavilion of Denmark and exhibiting along with other Danish companies, each company will be provided with a great deal of exposure to both the local Icelandic market and the international audience attending the exhibition. Iceland possesses a fleet of more than 1,600 registered fishing vessels landing close to 1.5 million tonnes per year and the Icelandic fleet is characterised as one of the most sophisticated, modern and efficient fleets in the world with skippers and vessel owners frequently updating and modernising their fleet.”
