The 13th Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition, is the longest running international Exhibition in Iceland. First held in 1984 this exhibition hosts the latest developments from the Icelandic and International industry showcasing new and innovative products and services, covering every aspect of the commercial fishing industry from catching and locating to processing and packaging, right through to marketing and distribution of the final product.

Held every three years the last exhibition in 2017 enjoyed a 41% increase in overseas exhibitors and a business focused attendance of 13,621 from 52 countries. The exhibition also saw a record number of contracts signed, including Skaginn 3X and Búlandstindur who completed a contract for a Sub-Chilling system for salmon production, the fifth of these ground-breaking ice-free systems ordered to date. Intech International a/s, and Nybonia Hav A/S signed a contract to provide a new processing layout for a recently acquired pelagic boat, being converted to cod trawling for the North Sea grounds and a new 6m workboat to work fish farms in Reydarfjordur, in the east of Iceland after Egersund Island, part of the AKVA Group, and Laxar hf signed a contract during the show.

IceFish provides exhibitors with the ideal platform to meet and discuss new requirements, technologies and a chance to network key industry figures both within Iceland and on an international scale. The exhibition will return in 2020 and is expected to draw an even larger number of attendees than ever before.
