Norwegian wellboat company, Intership, has named its latest wellboat, the second of two newbuilds from Zamakona Yards Bilbao.
Designed by Salt Ship Design and with a fish handling system provided by MMC First Process, Inter Scotia is a battery hybrid with a well capacity of 2,500 cbm.

During the naming ceremony, locals were invited on board for guided tours with some enjoying a short voyage.
“This is the second naming ceremony we have arranged in less than a year,” said chief executive, Ole Peter Brandal.
“It is a great pleasure that the ‘open ship’ led to several hundred people coming aboard to look at the boat, the equipment, and to talk with the crew and staff.
“Our region is world-leading within our segment and it is important for us to create awareness around this, highlighting the opportunities that lie within the well boat industry and the aquaculture industry in general.
Thanks to the high-capacity freshwater production system the Inter Scotia is capable of producing 5,000 cbm of freshwater per day for fish treatment.
Following the naming ceremony, the vessel was taken to Myklebust yard for installation of the latest delousing system, the FLS Caligus R600.
