Rope and wire manufacturer Tyson''s has expanded its range of Gold Strand combination and synthetic ropes as its attempts to expand its exports.

The UK based company is already selling into Ireland, Iceland, Spain, France and most of the Scandinavian market but director Mark Tyson is keen to look for other possible markets.

All the companies wires and ropes are manufactured to International standards as well to Tyson's own company standards.

Tyson's main brand is the Gold Strand Combination wire rope which is available in a number of sizes and weights. Mark Tyson says the wire and rope is manufactured to a high tensile strength. He believes the rope has a higher breaking strain than anything currently on the market.

The Tyson range also includes Gold Strand trawl warp and the Shamrock brand which includes polythylene, polysteel and polypropylene type ropes. There is also the Pennant Brand which includes trawl warp and sweep wire and the Weissenfels range of chains and connectors.

The company has also manufactured trawl doors, beam wheels and shackles.

Mark Tyson says the company is currently researching ideas for the aquaculture market but already offers fish arm mooring systems as well as several rope and wires suitable for the industry.
