Building on its activities in Norway, Iceland and North America, the company said it is now positioned to meet the growing global demand for innovative cloud-based solutions that enhance efficiency, flexibility and profitability in the seafood industry.

Maritech’s technology is currently deployed across nine countries, supporting more than 500 customers.

“2024 marks a pivotal year for us as we take the step to become truly global,” said Klas Vangen, Maritech’s newly-appointed General Manager for Europe & Asia. “Over the past 6 to 8 years, we’ve experienced incredible growth. This year, we’ve seen increasing interest across the global seafood sector in digitalising and professionalising daily operations. That makes this the perfect time to expand into new markets.”

Maritech became part of CAI in 2024, with the move expanding Maritech’s network and relationships, providing additional support to enter new markets.

“Our existing seafood customers have strong connections with markets across Europe and Asia,” Maritech CCO Per Alfred Holte said. “It’s a natural step for us to follow them into these regions, strengthening their operations while building relationships with new customers.

“I am happy that Klas Vangen, who has been a key player in Maritech’s sales success for the past six years, will lead this new phase of international growth. Under his leadership, Maritech will build a dedicated team to increase awareness, attract new logos, and solidify the company’s position in the global seafood industry,” Holte said.

“Our journey at Maritech has been nothing short of extraordinary,” Vangen said. “Now, with this new opportunity, we’re ready to expand our horizons and bring our solutions to new markets. I am incredibly grateful for the trust placed in me and excited to take on this responsibility.”
