Parsons Chain has officially introduced at Nor-Fishing its new 19mm middle and long link Trawlex Profile Chain launched last April.

The British company says that the Trawlex Profile Chain has 48 per cent less interlink wear than conventional chains in the market. Its unique cross section of the links reduces wear and increases working life. Rather than being circular, the cross section is far closer to a square. This increases the contact area between the links and dramatically reduces the wear (stretching) that all chains suffer.

The increased contacts areas and the use of improved materials and heat treatment have also reduced the chances of stress and fatigue and therefore corrosion.

Trawlex Profile Chain was first launched in 2002 for 16mm. The company says that due to the success of this chain, it is working to increase their range of Trawlex Profile Chain.

Parsons Chain has also closed an agreement with Norway's SteelFiber AS by which the Norwegian company will become its official agent in the Scandinavian country.
