Dutch fishing and processing group Parlevliet & Van der Plas has agreed with main shareholder Mohamad Khachab to acquire a significant shareholding in Thunnus Overseas Group (TOG).
TOG has offices in Paris and warehouse facilities in Dunkerque, and own the Scodi tuna canning factory in Abidjan, Ivory Coast (Scodi) and the Peche et Froid Ocean Indien tuna canning factory in Diego, Madagascar.
It also owns the Pompon Rouge brand, and produces for National French brands and private labels, plus TOG specialises in the production of fish ready meals. TOG subsidiary Conserverie des 5 Océans (CCO) is a distributor of canned tuna across Europe.
Parlevliet & Van der Plas owns 100% of CFTO, Compagnie française du Thon Oceanique), which operates six tuna purse seiners in Atlantic Ocean, with their operating base in the port Abidjan and eight tuna purse seiners in the Indian Ocean.
