The National Fisheries Institute (NFI) has announced Thomas Jacob, CEO of Blue Sea Products LLC, based in New Jersey, is joining the association’s Board of Directors.
He is a veteran of the shrimp industry and has successfully built and managed a variety of international and domestic businesses, including a New York based international logistics company.
“This is a great time to have someone with Thomas’s expertise on board,” said NFI President John Connelly. “Couple Blue Sea’s extensive worldwide resource partnerships with his background in international logistics and you have a wealth of knowledge.”
Blue Sea offers shrimp, crab, fin fish, scallops, calamari, lobster and a variety of value-added seafood products.
“This is an opportunity to contribute to a vital pre-competitive collaboration that is tackling some of the seafood community’s most pressing issues,” Thomas Jacob said.
“Whether it’s trade, labelling or sustainability NFI provides an industry voice and a brain trust that I’m proud to be a part of.”
