North Sea Winches is a renowned supplier of winches, net drums, gilsens and slave haulers mainly to vessels around the UK and Ireland.

Last year the company launched a new range of slave haulers designed to cope with the demands of modern crabbers and shellfish vessels. These new products were developed through close liaison with the inshore industry and from feedback on their performance at sea. The result is a competitively priced range of powerful and hard-wearing machines in three sizes ranging from 500kg to two tonnes pull, suitable for vessels from 8-25 metres.
Special features include hydraulic motors with built-in shaft bearings, so eliminating the need for external bearings and greasers, and V-wheels in high tensile steel for longer life between re-skims. In addition there is a reversible high tensile steel wear blade and a flush-fitting circular base for minimum footprint when installing. Corrosion protection is also a priority – the base and picker knife boss are hot dip galvanised and all bolts are in stainless steel.
In addition to the slave haulers, North Sea Winches range of deck machinery caters for vessels from 8-30 metres. The company designs and makes trawl winches in single and multi-drum form, single and split net drums, gilsen or topping winches, anchor windlasses and hydraulic systems.
