Saudi Fisheries Company (SFC) has told World Fishing & Aquaculture that it plans to build a new state of the art feed mill for aquaculture feed, at a cost of US$22m.
The new feed mill will produce 96,000 tons of feeds per year for fin fish and crustaceans, and for freshwater fish, as well as marine fish.
The proposed site is located on the Red Sea coast, at Asir Province in Saudi Arabia.
SFC was established in 1981 as a joint stock company, and has established a strong base in the fishing industry in Saudi Arabia, including a fishing fleet, shrimp farms, marine products, processing, plants and cold stores, and its chain of retail shops located throughout the Kingdom .
