Norway''s Karmoy Winch is delivering the deck machinery for a new, 38-metre, combined purse seiner / trawler for the Scottish, Peterhead-based Lunar Fishing company.
The vessel will fish under the Canadian flag and is being built by Simek A/S Shipyard in Norway. It is one of a series which Lunar has bought from them. The deck machinery package includes: two combined trawl/purse seine winches, each with a pull capacity on the first drum layer of 45 tonnes; one net drum with a capacity of 24 cubic metres and a pull capacity of 50t; one Karm Tristar net hauler with a pull capacity of 23t; deck cranes, an 18-inch fish pump, power pack and a Karm Trawl 3010 data trawl system.
