The National Federation of Fishermen’s Organisations (NFFO) has appointed its former chair, Mike Cohen, as new deputy chief executive.
Mike will take up the role in January, replacing Dale Rodmell who has been in post since 2008.

“Dale Rodmell has built a solid reputation for a careful analytical approach to representing our membership,” said chief executive, Barrie Deas. “In particular, he has done exceptionally valuable work in the area of environmental protection, spatial pressures and in building our regional committees.
“Our best wishes go with him. He will remain however, at the heart of the federation’s work as CEO of the East of England Fish Producers Organisation, and member of the executive committee,” he added.
He continued, “Mike is very well known in the fishing industry as former chief executive of the Holderness Fishing Industry Group and as the NFFO’s chair during 2016-18.
“His return to the frontline in fishing politics will be widely welcomed given his legal and scientific background and wealth of practical experience in the industry.”
