Singapore based biotechnology company Biomax Technologies Pte Ltd has developed Biomax Rapid Thermophilic Digestion Technology, a process of converting organic waste from fish farms and fish processing plants into fertiliser in 24 hours.
This is a great reduction on the 3-6 months it takes using a conventional method and means that fish farmers and processors could turn their fish waste into a profitable product.
The technology works by combining the specially designed Biomax Rapid Thermophilic Digestor and BM1 (a natural cocktail which contains enzymes and other ingredients needed to accelerate thermophilic digestion process) to accelerate aerobic fermentation.
The organic fertiliser produced is of good quality, odourless and free of pathogens.
The Biomax Rapid Thermophilic Digestor is designed to be easily set up at a location to treat biomass waste and only requires only a small area of land. This location serves as one-stop centre for waste collection, waste processing, and storage of composted product
The user-friendly reactor uses a closed system to treat all types of organic waste, thus reducing air pollution and pests.
The digestor comes in three capacities to suit different industrial needs - 4000L, 22,000L & 80,000L.
