This year’s conference is chaired by Thor Sigfusson of the Iceland Ocean Cluster and features keynote addresses from Matis and the Marine Ingredients Organisation, IFFO.
Day one is bursting with presentations from Icelandic experts in byproduct reutilisation who are senior managers and owners of five of Iceland’s leading companies. Presentations will cover fish oils, leather, cosmetics, marine derived enzymes and even medical devices.
The afternoon session will feature an international group of presenters, such as Zero Waste Scotland and an Indonesian enterprise, who will showcase the work they are embarking on in the 100% utilisation industry.
Following a morning of presentations on day two, delegates are invited to take part in the technical visit to Haustak, a state-of-the-art fish drying facility, where they will be able to put the past two days learning into practice. Places on the tour are limited, so early booking is advised.
