Guðmundur Kristjánsson has stepped down as CEO of Icelandic fishing and processing company Brim.

According to a statement from the company, he has stepped down from the CEO’s role for personal reasons, and the board has accepted his resignation.
The chairman of the Brim board, Kristján Th. Davíðsson, takes over Guðmundur Kristjánsson’s duties and responsibilities on a temporary basis, until a new CEO has been appointed.
Guðmundur Kristjánsson remains a member of the Brim board of directors.
