A whole host of attractions for visitors - including a record number of boat displays – will be available at Skipper Expo Int. Bournemouth 2015 on 30-31 October.
Seven boats will be housed in the exhibition hall which will prove a real draw for inshore fishermen. Another major attraction will be a conference session focusing on issues facing the crab, lobster and whelk sectors hosted by the Shellfish Association of Great Britain (SAGB).
This specially convened meeting will discuss a wide range of issues affecting the sector, including crab exports to the Far East, stock assessments and management. The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in shellfish and is part of SAGB’s ‘widening the net’ strategy to engage with non-members around the coast. The session will be held on Friday 30 October from 3-6pm at the Bournemouth International Centre where the Skipper Expo Int. Bournemouth is being staged.
The show is sponsored by the National Federation of Fishermen’s Organisations (NFFO), who will be highlighting at the show some of the major issues currently affecting fishing. This will include the latest updates on the landings obligation, drift net ban, bass, and the forthcoming December Council.
Exhibitors at the show will cover all areas of the fishing sector, including marine electronics, engine suppliers, fishing gear, safety equipment, creels, chandlery and deck machinery.
Sharon Boyle of show organiser Mara Media said, “Skipper Expo Int. Bournemouth 2015 is shaping up to be a fantastic show and there will be something to interest everyone.”
