Aqualine AS has developed a new generation of big and safe net cage systems and reports that the 500-series with floating tubes of 500mm have become a great success.
The net cage systems meet the most rigorous requirements with reference to current, waves and wind. The calculation methods employed by Aqualine have been transferred from the most modern and proven procedures that have been developed for the offshore oil industry.
A system comprising gangways and sinker tube systems as well as a birds’ net stand has been developed for the new generation.
The company has already supplied many of the 500-series in both 120m and 160m circumference to companies including Marine Harvest, Sjøtroll, Kobbevik & Furuholmen and Grieg Seafood.
Aqualine AS has also signed agreements with Bremnes Seashore and Marine Harvest for the delivery of net cages in 2010. The value of the orders is estimated to be around NOK42m.
