The farm which is located off the north-eastern coast of Corfu, in deep open water and fairly strong currents, produces European Sea Bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) and Gilt Head Sea Bream (Sparus aurata). Operating since 1992, the company has taken the strategic decision to maintain its yearly sales at moderate volumes (currently 540 tons) and intensively focus on creating value by offering superior quality.

Corfu Sea Farm has been awarded EN ISO 22000:2005 and 9001:2008 certifications and has been recognized as a member of the Friend of the Sea family. The company is actively seeking to expand its certification portfolio in the fields of sustainable aquaculture and consumer protection.

Delegates will be able to view the integrated farming and packaging operations first hand, with the technical visit being one of the unique features of the High Energy and Offshore Mariculture events.

Yannis Papadopoulos, Partner at Corfu Sea Farm, who will also present during the conference says “The technical visit is a great chance to share our fish farming knowledge and get feedback on best practices from the industry experts attending HEM in Corfu”.
