The Scottish Salmon Company (TSSC) has invested £480,000 in 16 fish farm pens from Fusion Marine for its new site at Loch Striven.

Construction work has started on the 100m circumference Oceanflex pens, which will be supplied with bird net supports and associated equipment.
It is anticipated that the first consignment of 10 pens will be delivered at the end of the summer to the TSSC site, with the balance due a few weeks later.
Iain Forbes of Fusion Marine said: “We are delighted with this latest order from The Scottish Salmon Company, which underlines their support for local businesses. The close working relationship TSSC enjoys with local operations such as Fusion Marine is helping secure the sustainable growth of the West Highlands’ economy – and we are very proud to be part of this success story.”
Stewart McLelland, CEO of The Scottish Salmon Company, said: “We are delighted that our plans for Loch Striven are moving ahead and we are working closely with Fusion Marine to ensure all schedules are met. The new site provides an important boost to the local economy. As well as working with local companies, such as Fusion, we are recruiting for three new jobs which we hope to have in place in the autumn.”
