Hogne Hallaråker
Hogne Hallaråker is a Norwegian entrepreneur from the life science industries. He has an extended MSc in marine and freshwater Biology from the University of Bergen, Norway, and is the author of several patents and articles within this space. After spending 8 years in teaching as a university college professor, he joined the private sector in 2001 and was introduced to the world of omega-3 fats and marine oils. He has founded several companies and is currently the CSO of Arctic Bioscience in Norway, a company he founded in 2011. Arctic Bioscience extracts omega-3 phospholipid rich oil found in Norwegian Herring Caviar. This oil has been sold commercially in the nutraceutical space since 2012 and is now also being developed as a pharmaceutical drug to treat Psoriasis. Arctic Bioscience was awarded the Norwegian SIVA award in 2020 for its unique sustainability model using side streams of current fisheries to produce nutraceutical & pharmaceutical products.
Mr. Hallaråker is currently also the CEO of Arctic Algae, a subsidiary of Arctic Bioscience (ABS), that he is developing following an acquisition by ABS in 2022. Mr Hallaråker is a Norwegian citizen.
