Lalit Rane

 Lalit is Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Ha Biotech AS, where he leads the development of antibody-based solutions for sustainable aquaculture. He holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (2006), a master’s degree in molecular biology (2008), and a PhD in molecular immunology from Karolinska Institutet (2014). His research career spans research institutions in Sweden and Norway, with expertise in B-cell and T-cell immunology, immunotherapy, and shark-derived nanobodies. He has authored more than 20 scientific publications.

In 2023, Lalit co-founded Ha Biotech AS to translate advances in antibody therapeutics into solutions for aquaculture, including reproductively sterile farmed fish. In 2025, he also co-founded Havdis AS, a marine-biotechnology company developing high-purity, traceable marine ingredients, including PDRN, DNA, collagen, and peptides for pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications.
