The company is a major supplier of fresh and frozen premium sustainable fish and seafood in the UK and one of the country\u2019s largest importers of fresh tuna.<\/p>\n
Now in its 25th<\/sup> year, New England Seafood sources more than 30 species of wild and farmed fish and seafood from over 40 countries worldwide. Its processing plant close to London supplies products nationwide to a large customer base, comprising leading retailers including Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury\u2019s, Waitrose, Asda, Tesco, Morrisons and Ocado, as well as smaller retail outlets, restaurant chains, foodservice and wholesale sectors.<\/p>\n New England Seafood has become the 35th<\/sup> Member of IPNLF. The company\u2019s membership is a further step in its on-going support and advocacy for improved tuna management worldwide, in particular ensuring that appropriate measures are adopted that safeguard tuna stocks as well as the coastal fisheries and associated communities that are reliant upon them.<\/p>\n \u201cThrough our membership of IPNLF, we look forward to further encouraging all interested parties, particularly the member states and cooperating non-members of the Regional Fisheries Management Organisations (RFMOs) towards improved tuna management,\u201d said James Robinson, Managing Director at New England Seafood.<\/p>\n \u201cWe recognise that by supporting IPNLF and its advocacy work in one-by-one fisheries, this will have a wider benefit for global tuna stocks generally, as delivering a healthy tuna stock will require proper management of all methods of fishing.
