The vessel, which is now called Kap VE, began fishing for its new owners the evening of the handover, after taking fishing gear onboard.<\/p>\n<p>HB Grandi CEO Vilhj\u00e1lmur Vilhj\u00e1lmsson and pelagic manager Gar\u00f0ar Svavarsson handed over the vessel to skippers J\u00f3n Atli Gunnarsson and G\u00edsli Gar\u00f0arsson, and fleet manager Gu\u00f0ni Gu\u00f0nason.<\/p>\n<p>The sale of Faxi is part of HB Grandi\u2019s fleet renewal, with new vessels Venus NS and the new V\u00edkingur AK, now on its way from Turkey, replacing three older vessels. Vinnslust\u00f6\u00f0in purchased two of the vessels &#8211; Ingunn AK, which was delivered earlier this year, as well as Faxi.
