The awards were held in Perth after the Seafood Directions 2015 conference and showcased the best in industry this year.<\/p>\n

The winner of the small business award was Central Seafoods for its clear product labelling and promotion of previously underutilised seafood species.<\/p>\n
Incontro, based in South Perth, won the National Restaurant award after also being recognised as the stand out restaurant at the State Seafood Industry Awards earlier this year.<\/p>\n
Dr Janet Howieson and Patrick O’Brien from West Coast Institute of Training were awarded the People Development Award. They were recognised for their work teaching apprentice chefs about seafood preparation.<\/p>\n
Western Australia also picked up an award for its Love Australian Prawns promotional campaign in conjunction with the Council of Prawn Fisheries.<\/p>\n
Alongside the four category wins, an entrant from Western Australia also received encouragement as a young achiever and two fishing identities were inducted into the Hall of Fame for their outstanding personal and leadership qualities.<\/p>\n
