{"id":916,"date":"2013-02-12T10:47:00","date_gmt":"2013-02-12T10:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldfishing.nfdtesting.uk\/icefish-conference\/2013\/02\/12\/srt-to-provide-ais-to-india\/"},"modified":"2013-02-12T10:47:00","modified_gmt":"2013-02-12T10:47:00","slug":"srt-to-provide-ais-to-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldfishing.net\/icefish-conference\/news\/electronics-communications\/srt-to-provide-ais-to-india\/","title":{"rendered":"SRT to provide AIS to India"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>India has one of the world\u2019s most sophisticated automatic identification systems (AIS), and the next phase in the government\u2019s programme is to fit local boats with an AIS device.<\/p>\n<p>SRT and its local partner Elcome Marine, have been working with local authorities to find the most appropriate solution, a process that has involved extensive discussions and included a preliminary field trial in October 2012.
