The first Icelandic Fisheries Bursaries were given in 2017. These special awards recognise the need to re-invest in the future of the fishing sector.<\/p>\n
Established in the port of Grindav\u00edk in 2010, the Icelandic College of Fisheries\u2019 vision is to meet the current requirements of the national fishing and processing industries through the production of suitably trained staff. The college offers training for deck crews, fishing vessel deckhands and shore-based industries.
