The Travel Award was established last year to increase the Foundation\u2019s exposure in developing countries, primarily in Africa and Asia.<\/p>\n
The Travel Award enables one person from the developing world to visit Aqua Nor or Nor-Fishing to experience modern aquaculture and fisheries technology, and to make contact with a wide network of experts.<\/p>\n
The Travel Award covers the cost of air travel from the winner\u2019s home to Trondheim, where she or he will spend a week as a guest of the Nor-Fishing Foundation, including hotel accommodation and some spending money. The winner will also be invited to the main events during the exhibition.<\/p>\n
The winner is then expected to tell others in their home country about the experience, for example by writing articles about the exhibition and\/or about Norwegian aquaculture and fisheries, and serve as the Foundation\u2019s contact point for future reference.<\/p>\n
The successful applicant should come from a developing country, be involved in aquaculture in some way (as a student, farmer, administrator or educator), and should give a short review of why she\/he would like to visit this year’s Aqua Nor.<\/p>\n
Applications should be sent to the Nor-Fishing Foundation no later than 1 June 2015, and the winner will be announced by the end of June 2015.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
