This corresponds to 19.60% of the 852,284 tonne TAC agreed by the coastal states in December last year, and represents an increase on the 12.6% share of the TAC that the Faroe Islands had under the coastal states agreement that expired at the end of 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Jacob Vestergaard commented that he hopes to see constructive talks when the coastal states meet this autumn, which will take place in the Faroe Islands.<\/p>\n<p>Iceland\u2019s Minister of Fisheries Kristj\u00e1n Th\u00f3r J\u00fal\u00edusson has signed legislation concerning the Icelandic fleet\u2019s 2021 mackerel fishery in Icelandic and NEAFC waters, setting a 140,627 tonne quota.
