Under the memorandum of understanding signed by the chair of MPEDA, Shri K.S. Srinivas and NCDC\u2019s managing director, Shri Sundeep Kumar Nayak, the two organisations will provide technical know-how to cooperatives to improve infrastructure in the marine products export sector, organising outreach programmes and conducting workshops.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have identified ample scope for working jointly in the interest of export promotion of marine products for bringing better value to the stakeholders through a variety of activities, including export focus, in line with the policies of the government,\u201d said Shri K.S. Srinivas.<\/p>\n
MPEDA and NCDC will work in tandem to showcase both domestically and globally, the products, technologies, processes, knowledge and services within the sector. They will also work together to achieve export targets and double farmers\u2019 income as set out by the government.<\/p>\n
Both the parties have agreed to the setting up of a joint coordination committee comprising representatives from MPEDA and NCDC and responsible for planning and monitoring the activities under the MoU.
