{"id":5344,"date":"2013-06-13T14:27:00","date_gmt":"2013-06-13T13:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldfishing.nfdtesting.uk\/icefish-conference\/2013\/06\/13\/no-isa-in-british-columbia\/"},"modified":"2026-08-26T23:53:22","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T22:53:22","slug":"no-isa-in-british-columbia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldfishing.net\/icefish-conference\/news\/industry-news\/no-isa-in-british-columbia\/","title":{"rendered":"No ISA in British Columbia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 2012, 4,175 wild salmon samples were collected directly from <abbr>BC waters, processing plants and enhancement hatcheries as part of a surveillance initiative.<\/abbr> All of these samples were tested for the ISA virus and either haematopoietic necrosis (IHN) or infectious pancreatic necrosis (IPN) \u2013 and all came back negative.<\/p>\n<p>A variety of salmon species were tested, including those that could carry infection without showing signs of disease.
