{"id":4550,"date":"2012-08-16T19:24:00","date_gmt":"2012-08-16T18:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldfishing.nfdtesting.uk\/icefish-conference\/2012\/08\/16\/havyard-wellboat-for-fosnavaag\/"},"modified":"2026-08-26T23:48:20","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T22:48:20","slug":"havyard-wellboat-for-fosnavaag","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldfishing.net\/icefish-conference\/news\/industry-news\/havyard-wellboat-for-fosnavaag\/","title":{"rendered":"Havyard wellboat for Fosnavaag"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fosnavaag Shipping already owns the wellboats <i>Viktoria Viking, <\/i>Vi<i>ktoria Lady<\/i> and <i>Gripfisk<\/i>, as well as the prawn trawler <i>Rem\u00f8y<\/i> and the coastguard vessel <i>KV Alesund<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>The Havyard 587 is the largest in a series of workboat designs developed in close cooperation with Fosnavaag Shipping.<\/p>\n<p>Havyard believes that this vessel sets a new standard. Designer Kjetil Myren, Havyard Design &amp; Engineering (HDE), said: \u201cHavyard 587 will contain the finest within well boat technology , setting a new standard for gentle and environmentally friendly transport and treatment of live fish.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is largely down to its cylindrical cargo tanks and the efficient filter and water treatment equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The three large cylinder tanks for live fish will have an impressive capacity for 3250 cubic.
