{"id":3710,"date":"2011-01-03T12:50:00","date_gmt":"2011-01-03T12:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldfishing.nfdtesting.uk\/icefish-conference\/2011\/01\/03\/hb-grandi-trawler-catch-value-grows-12\/"},"modified":"2026-08-26T23:43:38","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T22:43:38","slug":"hb-grandi-trawler-catch-value-grows-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldfishing.net\/icefish-conference\/news\/industry-news\/hb-grandi-trawler-catch-value-grows-12\/","title":{"rendered":"HB Grandi trawler catch value grows 12%"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is up from 47,000 tonnes valued at ISK 9.3 billion (\u20ac60.5 million\/$80.5 million) in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>HB Grandi operates five factory freezer vessels and their catches increased to 33,800 tonnes from 31,900 tonnes in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>The freezer fleet also saw its catch values rise by 16% to ISK 8.6 billion (\u20ac55.9 million\/$74.5 million) from ISK 7.5 billion (\u20ac48.8 million\/$65 million) the previous year.<\/p>\n<p><em>Therney<\/em> RE was the top-catching vessel with 7,600 tonnes, while <em>Venus<\/em> HF had the highest catch value at ISK 1.9 billion (\u20ac12.4 million\/$16.5 million).<\/p>\n<p>In 2009, <em>Therney<\/em> was also the top catcher with 6,761 tonnes, while <em>\u00d6rfirisey<\/em> RE returned the highest values for its landings at roughly ISK 1.5 billion (\u20ac9.8 million\/$13 million).<\/p>\n<p>HB Grandi\u2019s pelagic vessel catch for 2010 totalled 96,400 tonnes, with a value of ISK 3.4 billion.
