{"id":3334,"date":"2010-06-14T07:34:00","date_gmt":"2010-06-14T06:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldfishing.nfdtesting.uk\/icefish-conference\/2010\/06\/14\/new-almanac-for-uk-and-irish-fishing-fleets\/"},"modified":"2010-06-14T07:34:00","modified_gmt":"2010-06-14T06:34:00","slug":"new-almanac-for-uk-and-irish-fishing-fleets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldfishing.net\/icefish-conference\/news\/industry-news\/new-almanac-for-uk-and-irish-fishing-fleets\/","title":{"rendered":"New almanac for UK and Irish fishing fleets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Priced at \u00a360 (\u20ac72\/$87), the first edition of the <em>Reeds Fishermen\u2019s Almanac and Fishing Industry Handbook<\/em> will contain the full over 12-metre fleets of both the UK and Ireland, supported in many cases with full colour photography.<\/p>\n<p>A&amp;C Black said according to the latest statistics available, the UK fishing industry now comprises 6,573 fishing vessels while Ireland has just over 2,000 commercial boats in operation. \u201c<em>Reeds Fishermen\u2019s Almanac and Fishing Industry Handbook<\/em>, is a celebration of those vessels still catching today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> Every fishing vessel in the UK and Ireland over 15 metres is required by law to carry a suitable nautical publication.
