The vessel will be under the command of John Nicol and will work out of Fraserburgh through Fraserburgh Inshore Fishermen Limited.<\/p>\n
This vessel is a repeat of the Rebecca<\/em>, which was built by the yard in 2008, and the Fruitful Vine<\/em> replaces a wooden Fruitful Vine<\/em> which was built in Sandhaven.<\/p>\n The hull form is double chine, with a deep box keel for ballast. The stern is well raked forward over an extended bulbous bow.<\/p>\n Macduff Profilers cut the steel kit from cutting information supplied by Macduff Ship Design Limited, and the steel was transported to Middlesbrough where Aveco (Teeside) Limited fabricated the hull. The hull was then towed to Macduff for machinery installation and fitting out.<\/p>\n The steel deckhouse is fitted rail to rail athwartships and the steel shelterdeck is forward as an extension of the hull without a rail line.
