According to MPI, it\u2019s standard practice or parts to be shipped from a main supplier as and when required, but the company is putting effort and investment into establishing its own presence in Scotland, not only to have parts available, but also to have a dedicated service engineer on the spot, ready to fit them if needed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t simply a new office, depot or even an international extension of our company HQ in Norway. This is a a supply and service hub which is a dedicated centre of excellence for our customers in the international aquaculture industry.\u201d<\/p>\n
MPI\u2019s Scottish customers, who produce more than 150,000 tonnes of salmon annually, have welcomed the initiative, as having an engineer and parts storage facility in the Highlands ensures that equipment is regularly serviced and that any potential down time will be at a minimum. The benefits extend beyond Scotland, the entire UK and Irish fish farming community will also enjoy the local feel of having a service engineer within easy reach.<\/p>\n
MPI\u2019s country manager in the new centre is Oban native Alasdair Cameron who says he has already formed strong bonds with MPI\u2019s clients in both the UK and Rep of Ireland.<\/p>\n
