{"id":1444,"date":"2014-11-25T11:51:00","date_gmt":"2014-11-25T11:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldfishing.nfdtesting.uk\/icefish-conference\/2014\/11\/25\/hb-grandi-expansion\/"},"modified":"2026-08-26T23:33:34","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T22:33:34","slug":"hb-grandi-expansion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldfishing.net\/icefish-conference\/news\/processing-refrigeration\/hb-grandi-expansion\/","title":{"rendered":"HB Grandi expansion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The groundbreaking ceremony was held on 21 November, following the signing of the contract with with civil engineering company \u00cdslenskir Adalverktakar (IAV).<\/p>\n<p>The contract is for a new 1,440 square metre extension of the fish processing plant and a 260 square metre facility for waste handling and storage for fishing gear.<\/p>\n<p>According to CEO Vilhj\u00e1lmur Vilhj\u00e1lmsson, the new building extension will contain a workshop for both the fishing and processing divisions as well as storage space for packaging.<\/p>\n<p>The construction is expected to be completed mid-2015.
