Both the PV3L and V3 trawl door types will form the main focus of Morg\u00e8re\u2019s presence at the expo, where it will be exhibiting on the Isfell stand, the company\u2019s Icelandic agent.<\/p>\n
In recent months several Icelandic skippers have praised the performance of the PV3L door, including Skipper Gu\u00f0mundsson Margeir of the Skinney SF<\/i> who described the doors as being \u201c\u2026easy to shoot and manoeuvre\u201d and are \u201cpowerful and stable\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u00d3lafsson Sigur\u00f0ur, the skipper of the Sigurdur Olafsson SF<\/i>, was equally impressed, stating: \u201cTheir size fits perfectly with my gear, and is effective and sits well, enabling me to use less warp length than before.\u201d<\/p>\n
The V3 door is also widely used in Iceland with its almost oval shape which allows a smoother passage over rocky seabeds. The doors are particularly successful for targeting groundfish and key features include a consistent spread and excellent stability, with the capacity for a very quick recovery.<\/p>\n
