{"id":1180,"date":"2014-01-21T10:41:00","date_gmt":"2014-01-21T10:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldfishing.nfdtesting.uk\/icefish-conference\/2014\/01\/21\/izaro-delivered\/"},"modified":"2026-08-26T23:32:34","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T22:32:34","slug":"izaro-delivered","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldfishing.net\/icefish-conference\/news\/new-vessels\/izaro-delivered\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Izaro\u2019 delivered"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The vessel has a length of almost 90m and a capacity of 1900m<sup>3<\/sup> of fish in its 20 freezers, with accommodation for 42 crew aboard and a top speed of 18.2 knots.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony was presided over by Kepa Echebarr\u00eda, executive representative of the Echebastar Group, and Pedro Garaygord\u00f3bil, president of Zamakona. The \u2018Madrina\u2019 &#8211; who launched the vessel \u2013 is M\u00aa Asunci\u00f3n Munitiz Torres, shareholder of the proprietor company of the vessel.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony was attended by some 250 people including representatives of the Basque and central governments, the Government of the Seychelles, the Port of Bilbao, Zamakona Shipyard, and the fishing company. Afterwards a dinner was held at the Hotel Carlton of Bilbao to mark the event.<\/p>\n<p><i>Izaro<\/i> is construction N\u00ba 720 at the shipyard and is a project of a new design with the latest and most modern technology, built to the specifications of the fishing company.
