Taking place between the 17-19 October in Corfu, Greece, the conference will focus on the vital components of the supply chain for medium\/high volume production, ranging from hatchery and farming to value added components and the distribution network of the final product.<\/p>\n

Industry analysis<\/strong><\/p>\n The programme includes presentations covering the full process from broodstock to consumer, an in-depth review of how the industry is developing and analysis of recent advancements overseas and how they can be adapted and implemented in Europe.<\/p>\n There will also be a visit to a local offshore farm and opportunities to learn about and discuss the challenges and opportunities for moving into high energy or offshore sites.<\/p>\n Corfu was chosen to host the conference due to the wealth of experience in the Greek fish farming supply chain; 69% of total Greek fisheries production comes from fish farming, accounting for 11% of the total Greek agricultural exports.<\/p>\n Greek aquaculture is mainly characterised by the production of marine finfish such as seabream and seabass, particularly in offshore conditions.
