{"id":11566,"date":"2018-03-06T10:43:00","date_gmt":"2018-03-06T10:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldfishing.nfdtesting.uk\/icefish-conference\/2018\/03\/06\/nauta-to-build-trawlers-for-karstensns-skibsvaerft\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T00:20:33","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T23:20:33","slug":"nauta-to-build-trawlers-for-karstensns-skibsvaerft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldfishing.net\/icefish-conference\/news\/vessels-shipyards\/nauta-to-build-trawlers-for-karstensns-skibsvaerft\/","title":{"rendered":"Nauta to build trawlers for Karstensns Skibsvaerft"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At 49.95m long and 13.2m wide, <em>Torland<\/em> (B-447) and <em>Tor-\u00d6n<\/em> (B-448) will be modern pelagic trawlers, built for Sweden-based Tor\u00f6nland Fiskeri to target Baltic Sea sprat and North Sea sandeel, sprat, herring and mackerel.<\/p>\n<p>Nauta has been working with Karstensens Skibsvaerft since the opening of its newbuild division in Gda\u0144sk, in September 2013.<\/p>\n<p>So far, Karstensens Skibsvaerft has ordered 19 vessels, 13 of which have already been launched.
