Farmed salmon is about to take leadership role in seafood sales worldwide, as salmon fits in perfectly with many food-consumption trends, including an aging population, health consciousness, convenience and sushi, he said.<\/p>\n

Mr Ler\u00f8y\u2019s presentation will kick off three days of presentations, discussions and meetings brimming with information and analysis on the farmed seafood value chain and responsible aquaculture.<\/p>\n
Day 1 of GOAL 2013 will focus on production data for Atlantic salmon, shrimp, Pangasius, tilapia, mussels, and sea bass and sea bream, while Day 2 will focus on feed sustainability and aquaculture growth opportunities in the Middle East and Africa. Day 3 will focus on the marketplace, with many of the world\u2019s leading retailers discussing the challenges and opportunities they face.<\/p>\n
