In 1999 Transas became the first company in the world to achieve official type approval with the Navi-Sailor 2400 ECDIS, an electronic chart display and information system aimed at vessel owners.<\/p>\n
The standard features include automatic plotting of the vessels position on an electric chart as well as monitoring of navigational hazards plotted on a vector chart which generates relevant alarms for deviation from the planned route.<\/p>\n
The system also offers extensive chart object information, full voyage data recording and a radar target information function.<\/p>\n
Navi-Sailor 3000 has a facility for Multi-Chart loading providing simultaneous display of up to six charts of different formats.<\/p>\n
The advanced features of the system include an optimised user interface with dual-screen display facility. Task-oriented panels with the possibility to switch between different tasks at any moment.<\/p>\n
It also has expert navigation capabilities which include advanced radar image overlay and ARPA capabilities as well as advanced route planning facilities.<\/p>\n
Transas also offers a comprehensive range of electrical, and navigation equipment aimed at the fishing industry.<\/p>\n
It has a weather forecast module which animates UK Met Office data directly on the screen for up to five days in advance with features that include wave heights, directions and periods, wind direction and speed.<\/p>\n
