In 2001, he completed a master\u2019s degree from the University of Miami\u2019s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences and has been involved with commercial and research marine fish aquaculture since. He has extensive experience with the culture of other marine species including almaco jack (Seriola rivoliana), California halibut (Paralichthys californicus), California yellowtail (Seriola dorsalis), yellowtail kingfish (Seriola lalandi), yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares), cobia (Rachycentron canadum), white seabass (Atractoscion nobilis) and giant grouper (Epinephelus lanceolatus).
