The 22% increase in attendance put the total number of visitors for the show, which took place from 16-19 August, to 17,460.<\/p>\n
Alongside this, the number of visitors coming from different nations was also much higher than previous years. Technologically minded people visited Trondheim from 56 countries, this was a 27% increase on 2014.<\/p>\n
Scantrol Deep Vision won the Innovation Award for 2016 on the first day of the exhibition, which saw 3881 visitors walk through its doors.<\/p>\n
The Best Stand Award went to W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4, while M\u00f8re & Romsdal County and Fiskeriportalen were the runners-up, with the Directorate of Fisheries Environment Award going to Nordic Wildfish.<\/p>\n
Numbers hit a high of 5667 visitors on Wednesday and 5335 on Thursday, on the last day of the exhibition, the students were welcomed to a special Student Day.<\/p>\n
For the first time this year the show had a waiting list for exhibition space and was full up by February 2016. 550 exhibitors took part this year, a 25% increase compared to last year.<\/p>\n
