In the newly created role, he will be responsible for developing the company’s technical support platform across a portfolio of aquaculture species.<\/p>\n
Benchmark hopes to accelerate its breeding and genetics offering by providing proactive, evidence-based support to help producers optimise results.<\/p>\n
Dr Tinch said: \u201cBenchmark has developed a unique strategy to improve health, welfare and performance of the animals produced out of its breeding programmes.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cBreeding programmes continue to deliver breeds with greater potential performance and customers require more information to optimise health, welfare and value. I am excited to be joining the Benchmark team to help producers achieve the best performance from their stock.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dr Tinch studied Genetics at University of Edinburgh and the Roslin Institute, he has over 28 years of experience in commercial breeding programmes and technical support across a number of species including salmonids, pigs and broiler chickens.<\/p>\n
