Kevin Edwards is the Vice President, Global Market Development at the Global Dialogue on Seafood Traceability (GDST), a not-for-profit, public-benefit organization created to accelerate the global shift toward interoperable, digital seafood traceability.<\/p>\n
As a member of the GDST Secretariat, Kevin supports the outreach to the seafood sector through active engagement at global seafood expositions, specific species conferences, trade associations, regulatory meetings and the open-forum, GDST Global Dialogues. He welcomes each opportunity to listen and support any member of the seafood supply chain, sharing the stream of news from the work of Secretariat and Management Board in achieving recognition by governments, UN FAO, UN Traceability Protocol and leading seafood buyers.<\/p>\n
Prior to joining the GDST, Mr Edwards was employed by the SGS Group, the world\u2019s largest inspection, testing, and certification organization for 19 years. He was responsible for the management of a team established to provide global, risk management solutions to leading retail, brand manufacturing and import\/export organizations. He specialized in helping companies in the seafood sector with food safety, corporate social responsibility, and supply chain security risks.<\/p>\n
Kevin is a member of the Global Seafood Alliance, International Association of Fish Inspectors (WSC 2026 Chennai) and the National Fisheries Institute in which he has served on the Better Seafood Board, the Technical and Importers Committees, and as a planner and speaker at the Global Seafood Marketing Conference.<\/p>\n
In his spare time, he enjoys time with family and friends, especially in the woods or on the water.<\/p>\n
