Seaway Marine of Macduff has launched a new 11-metre survey and research vessel to be used by Scotland’s University Marine Biological Station, located on the eastern shore of the Isle of Cumbrae in the Firth of Clyde.

RV Actinia has been equipped and finished to unique, exact requirements in order for it to carry out its duties in coastal waters.

The vessel will be on display on the pontoons and available to give demonstrations to visitors at the forthcoming Fishing Expo 2010, which is held at the SECC in Glasgow on the 20-22nd May 2010.

Clements Marine supplied a total stern gear package to the vessel including specialist four-blade Hyperform propellers.
