Asian Alliance joins ISSF

07 Dec 2011

Asian Alliance International Co., Ltd. is the latest tuna processor to become a participant in the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation.

“As an international coalition designed to improve a global industry, the added participation of Asian Alliance energises our collective sustainability efforts,” ISSF President Susan Jackson said. “We have more than doubled our membership since 2009, which is encouraging for the work that remains in fisheries management.”

Asian Alliance International Co., Ltd is based in Samutsakorn, Thailand and is a processor of frozen seafood, especially tuna fish.

ISSF Participating Companies work with the Foundation to advocate for improved fishing methods, fund scientific advancement and take direct action to spur change. Asian Alliance is committed to the purposes and standards of the organisation and met all the requirements set forth by the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation.

The partnership launched in 2009 with eight Participating Companies and today has nineteen industry partners with well-known brands produced and sold in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Pacific Islands and Asia.
