Consolidated Fisheries Ltd, a company wholly owned in the Falkland Islands, is the sole quota holder for Patagonian Toothfish in the Falkland Islands Fisheries and Conservation Zone. Toothfish, also known as Chilean Seabass and Merluza Negra, is a fish well known for its distinctive white flesh, even texture and abundant Omega-3 content.
The company produces HGT (Headed, Gutted and Tailed) pieces in a range of sizes from 1kg to 15+kg. The product is deep-frozen at sea, individually wrapped in plastic and packed in cartons of about 25kg each. The company also produce Collars and Cheeks which are especially valued in the Far East.
